Hello and welcome to my website!
I am an aspiring applied economist with a keen interest in exploring the intersections of economics, society, and the environment—which, admittedly, covers quite a lot! My current research focuses on:
  • impact of socio-economic identities, such as caste, on rural credit markets in India
  • how past experiences of rainfall shocks can affect labor supply and agricultural wages
  • joint effects of temperature and rainfall extremes on crop yields: both past and future

I received my BA (Economics) and MA (Economics) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata (India). Before starting my PhD, I was a Junior Fellow at Observer Research Foundation, India's leading public policy think tank.
